kawaiiiii!!! your photos crack me up. fashion in japan is a photographer's dream! perhaps you've seen "fruits"? it's a monthly magazine chock full of crazy fashion that we new yorkers even find funny and daring. heck, my winter's are full of black black black..
Ha! I think I've perfected what Matt calls my "Secret Squirrel" shot. You know, the casual, "Look at that tree! I think I'll take a photo of the... whoopsy daisy, camera slipped...". Of course, credit goes to the zoom as well.
I'm not a shoverer of the camera in people's faces or particularly obvious (although I may be simply deluded here)... it's amazing what people will do in front of you if they think you're taking a photo of that thar tree.
yeah, pretending like you are taking pictures of something else.. or just being stealthy about it has worked for me. i've managed to catch some great shots of strange things on the subway in NYC that way.
Great photos, great captions, KF. Seen Lost in Translation yet? Know you will appreciate it. Hope all is well witchu.

Great pics as usual :-) Am wondering wether you have a good zoom or if people are so relaxed around you ...?
