Are you missing Japan much? I actually started reading your site cos' myself and partner really wanted to go to Japan to live for a while. Seems like you had a big connection to the place.
Would you go back after you have bought a property here?
We can't go for a few years now as we are buying a small flat with my parents. Feel its the sensible thing to do.(f**kin' hate sensible!)but there you go.
ps. love songs - bjork - venus as a boy
its probably a bit more sexual - but I think of it when ever i see my boy.
His wicked sense of humour
Suggests exciting sex
His fingers focus on her
Touches, he's Venus as a boy
CHORUS
He believes in beauty
He's Venus as a boy
He's exploring
The taste of her
Arousal
So accurate
He sets off
The beauty in her
He's Venus as a boy
Hi Nicole - Yeah, sometimes I really do miss Japan. I just woke up from a dream where I missed it so much I was bawling my freaking eyes out. Can't say I feel like that in my waking self, but yeah, the occasional song (anything by Utada H, SMAP, and that frikkin' "Jupiter" song by Ayaka somebody) or memory makes me a bit sentimental.
Glad I got the travel itch out of my system before settling down in Oz - can't say it's necessarily totally gone but definitely placated.
I miss lots of stuff about Japan but mainly the friends I made, the fact that you could drink beer for breakfast and no-one would give you a second look, the SUBWAY system (my god, it shits all over Connex), the respect for other people's property, snow in the winter, red leaves in the autumn, pink and white in the spring (pass on the summers though) and hearing the language, to be honest. I still mutter to myself in Japanese just 'cos I love the sound of it and don't want to lose the limited skills I actually did pick up.
