Henri

Usefilm has a new photography project up - "Henri", to celebrate the awesome works of the late Henri Cartier-Bresson. Here goes my pallid attempt at emulation...

You've beautifully captured the hutongs of Beijing. Nice work!

This morning as I had my coffee, I was looking through Henri Cartier-Bresson's "Europeans," which I picked up for 1500 yen last night.

This shot would be right at home with those.
Nice work.

Megha - Henri was a famous French black and white photographer. Perhaps one of the most famous ever - maybe a case of you know the photo but never realised who took it (which was certainly true in my case)...

To be honest, I never knew much about his life - but his photos are just awesome. Something to aspire to.

Have a look at some of his work here:

I only land on your site a few times a year but everytime your photography seems to get better and better. Kind of like that aunt you only see at Christmas raving about how big you've gotten. I should come by more often.
