3 Month Letter to Sage

18 January 2011, 17:04

Sage is bemused by proceedingsAh, Sage – you had a tumultuous start to life and spent the first 6 weeks being grumpy and cranky, but in the past few weeks your real nature has started to surface. We do have weeks where you are cross a lot of the time, but then you smile and everything is clear again.

You are curious. Your head control is extremely good and you spend a lot of the time looking back and forth, checking out the world.

You are proud of yourself. I love the look on your face when we pull you to sitting and then to standing. It’s like you know it’s unusual for a 3-month to be able to stand supported and are saying “Hey Dude, look at Me. Look at what the hell I can do.” Standing always makes you smile with a smile that tells us you are happy but in the throes of serious contemplation.

You love the bath. The first couple of baths freaked you out, but now you are in the big bath with mum, you love it. I could put you on the bathroom floor for half an hour before the bath and you’d be kicking around and smiling in anticipation for what is to come.

Your giggle is seriously infectious. You are pretty difficult to get going, but once you start you can’t stop – it’s the most beautiful sound.

You love your People. We love you.
